New on DVD-2/1/2011

This week's DVD releases have a little something for everyone. First is Let Me In, the English language remake of Let the Right One In. Let Me In is about the relationship between a young boy and a young girl.........who is a vampire. Don't expect any Team Edward shenanigans though as this is a horror film. Also released this week is Hilary Swank's Conviction. Conviction is based off a true story about a woman who puts herself through law school to defend her brother (Sam Rockwell) who has been sentenced to life in prison for murder. The other big new release is Never Let Me Go, starring Keira Knightley, Carey Mulligan, and Andrew Garfield. The plot of this movie was kept largely under wraps but the film is a sci fi drama. Earlier in the year, the movie was widely considered be an Oscar contender, however when it was released in theaters it was done so with virtually no buzz and very little marketing. Other new wide releases are the John Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy and campy horror film Hatchet II. Check back for more DVD release news next Tuesday.
